The Last Sunday Before Lent Eucharist service on Sunday 14th February 2021 will see the debut of a special video created by Libby Harborne of Bradford Cathedral.

The video features the Saturday Singers performing their take on Rend Collective’s ‘My Lighthouse’.
Libby Harborne told us about how this came about:
“Since the start of term, we have been working on this video project. We meet once a week, virtually, to sing together and it has been a real highlight of my week spending time with the children, seeing them enjoy themselves and watching their confidence flourish.
“I chose this song as the theme of a lighthouse shining in the darkness fits really well with this weeks reading in 2 Corinthians 4:6. It also reminds us that in difficult times, such as these, God is steadfast. In stormy seas, we can find inner peace through trusting Him.
“The children recorded all their vocal parts and videos separately and I had the privilege of putting them all together to create this final video. I would like to commend them on their huge effort, overcoming some nerves and remembering a lot of actions! I’m sure you’ll agree the end product is a fantastic achievement.
“The song is “My Lighthouse” by Rend Collective. It’s fun and upbeat, guaranteed to get your toes tapping. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we have had making it.
The Sunday service will also see ordinand Kayleigh Lucas, currently training at Mirfield Theological College, preaching the sermon.
You can join us for the service from 10:30am on Sunday 14th February 2021 on YouTube, with the service available for watch back for up to two weeks after. The video of ‘My Lighthouse’ will also be made available separately soon.
